Chairman’s Report 2026:

The chairman started by thanking the councillors that have joined this year is it truly amazing to see such a great group of people working together for the benefit of the community. They have archived so much over the last year some of which include the creating of the micro green areas, addition of planters and noticeboards, additional litter bins, remembrance wreath holder, celebration tree, military figures and decoration of electric box.

The chairman thanked the District and County Cllrs for their support and she thanked members of the public because without them they would not be doing it.

The council has established a cohesive village between Gipsey Bridge and Bunkers Hill. The council also now has an active Facebook page, website and tri-yearly newsletter. The council will continue to work together to build and shape the community.

 

Parish Council’s Future Plans

The council will continue to work on stopping the pylons, school parking and safety with LCC, funding and the creation of a community space, history of the village map/lectern, more bulb planting, community engagement, pride in the local area and the erection of village markers/gates.
