Thornton Le Fen Parish Council – Annual Parish Meeting
Notes of the Annual Parish Meeting of Thornton Le Fen Parish Council held in The Chapel of the Methodist Church on Thursday 11th May 2023 commencing at 7:00 p.m.
In Attendance: John Best, Pat Hawkes, Pat Corke and previous chairman G Fordham 

Public: There was no public present.

The Chairman declared the meeting opened at 7:00 p.m. 

1. Welcome 
   The Chairman welcomed all present and thanked for coming. 
   
2. The notes from the Annual Parish Council Meeting held on Thursday 5th May 2023 to be approved as Minutes and signed by the Chairman. 
It was:-
Proposed by Councillor Hawkes and Seconded by Councillor P Corke and Resolved.

3. Annual report of the Parish Council – The clerk was asked to do promotions for the current vacancies on the council. The clerk informed the council that they shall continue to work on local matters, the main concern is speeding in the villages and gaining volunteers for the speed guns. 
Planning Applications for 2022-2023:
a) Application reference S/183/00346/23 - 29 LEAGATE ROAD, GIPSEY BRIDGE, BOSTON, PE22 7BU. Planning Permission - Extension to existing dwelling to provide additional living accommodation.
a) Application reference S/183/02431/22 - THE WILLOWS, LEAGATE ROAD, GIPSEY BRIDGE, BOSTON, PE22 7DA. Planning Permission - Extension to existing dwelling to provide additional living accommodation and construction of a new vehicular access.
b) Application reference S/183/01396/22 - LAND BETWEEN 52 AND 60, LEAGATE ROAD, GIPSEY BRIDGE. Planning Permission - Erection of a dwellinghouse with detached double garage.

4. Looking forward  
The Council can start using the CSW gun and equipment the main concern is gaining volunteers. The training is run online via zoom and continuously, so people are able to train when they choose. The council has purchased a solar panel reactive speed sign which will be put up shortly and hopefully proves affective in reducing the number of speeders. 

5. Finance report
The clerk presented the account to the council the balance as of 31st March 2023 is £10,953.42. 

6. Reports from representatives of other organisations – None.

7. Any other matters for discussion – There were none.
